Overview
This website is the information site for Chalet Green Garden Lodge A2 at Bachweg 2 Walchen, Piesendorf, Austria. It exists so you can read about the chalet, the ski areas around Zell am See–Kaprun, and the restaurants and activities in the valley before you travel.
There is very little to say in this policy, because the site is built to need almost nothing from you. It has no accounts, no logins, no shopping basket and no advertising. It asks you for nothing at all — there is no form anywhere on it — and nothing you do here is stored against you or your device.
If you have a question about anything below, or you want us to delete something we hold, write to [email protected] and we will answer.
What We Do Not Do
It is quicker to start with what does not happen on this site:
- We do not set advertising or tracking cookies of our own.
- We do not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites.
- We do not ask you to create an account, and we store no passwords.
- We do not sell, rent or trade anyone’s details to anyone, ever.
- We do not take payments on this site — bookings happen elsewhere (see below).
Visitor Statistics
We keep a rough sense of how busy the site is: a count of visits, the country a visit came from and how often certain links are clicked. That is the whole of it. The figures are aggregated — they tell us that a number of people looked at the ski pages from the Netherlands last week, and nothing more.
This is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which was chosen precisely because it is privacy-first. A small script from Cloudflare runs when the page loads and reports which page was viewed, where the visit came from, and how quickly the page loaded. It sets no cookie, uses no advertising ID and no device fingerprint, and it does not follow anyone between visits or between websites — so there is nothing for it to join up. We could not identify you or single you out from these numbers even if we wanted to.
It is also why this site greets you with the site itself instead of a cookie banner: there is no tracking to ask your permission for.
Booking And Getting In Touch
The chalet is not booked on this site. The booking buttons send you to our listing on Villa for You, which is a separate company running its own website. Anything you enter there — your name, dates, payment details — is collected and held by them under their own privacy policy, not ours. We only ever see the booking details they pass on to us as the owners.
There is no contact form on this site, by design. Questions about a booking or a stay go to Villa for You or to the chalet’s caretaker, as explained in the terms of service, and whatever you send them is held by them. If you do write to us directly about the website, we hold that email and whatever you chose to put in it, for as long as it is useful for answering you and no longer.
Content Loaded From Other Companies
Some parts of the site are supplied by other companies and load straight from their servers into your browser. When that happens, their servers necessarily see your IP address and basic details about your browser, and their own privacy policies apply to that. We do not control what they do with it, and we receive nothing back from them about you.
The ones in use are:
- Google Fonts — supplies the typefaces used across every page.
- GetYourGuide — the photographs beside the bookable activities are loaded from their servers, so your browser contacts them to fetch those images. The listings themselves are assembled when this site is built, not by any script running in your browser. Following one of the listings takes you to GetYourGuide’s own website, where their privacy and cookie policies apply instead of ours.
- OpenSkiMap — the embedded 3D piste maps on the ski resort pages.
- OpenStreetMap — the map tiles used by the region maps and the restaurant maps.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own — not for analytics, not for advertising, not for remembering you. Since there is nothing to consent to, there is no cookie banner in your way.
The embedded content listed above is supplied by other companies and may set its own cookies when it loads, which is a matter between you and them; your browser settings are the place to control that. Anything you do after you leave this site — on GetYourGuide, on Villa for You, or anywhere else a link takes you — falls under that site’s own cookie and privacy policies.
Server Logs
Like every website, the hosting provider that serves these pages keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses. These are a security and troubleshooting measure, are kept only briefly, and are not used by us to analyse or identify visitors.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. Write to us and we will deal with it — there is no form and no charge.
In practice the only personal data we hold is any correspondence you have sent us, so these requests are usually settled in a single reply. The visitor statistics cannot be included, because there is nothing in them tied to you to look up.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you are entitled to complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes To This Policy
If what we collect changes — for example if we ever add a contact form or a newsletter, or switch to an analytics tool that needs your consent — this page is updated before the change goes live, and the date below changes with it.
